Application Process

Thank you for choosing The St. Andrew’s Schools. Please submit the online application and all supporting application documents in order to be considered for admission.

Applying to Queen Emma Preschool

We are still accepting applications on a rolling basis for the 2017-18 school year, dependent upon space availability. Please contact The Preschool at info@queenemmapreschool.net. The 2018-19 application is now available.

Queen Emma Preschool accepts both boys and girls 2-5 years of age. The Admissions Committee will review applicant files in mid January, but only for those applicants who are potty trained at that time. Offers will only be extended to applicants who are potty trained.

-Please Note: As of the 2020-21 school year, Queen Emma Preschool will limit enrollment to children ages 2-4 years of age.

Step 1: Submit Application

Complete the Online Application, including submission of the non-refundable $50 application fee.

Step 2: Submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate or U.S. passport

A copy of your child’s birth certificate or U.S. passport may be uploaded through the checklist in the application parent portal.

Step 3: Interview with a member of the Admissions Staff

Once your online application is submitted, you may schedule your parent interview through the checklist in the application parent portal. Please schedule your interview soon to ensure a time that works for your family.

Step 4: Schedule a tour of the Queen Emma Preschool campus

Once your online application is submitted, you may schedule your campus tour through the checklist in the application parent portal. Please note, your preschooler must accompany you on the tour.

Applying to Kindergarten

We are still accepting applications on a rolling basis for the 2017-18 school year, dependent upon space availability. The 2018-19 application will be available on September 1, 2017.

Kindergarten Eligibility Date: Turn 5 years old by December 31, 2017

Step 1: Submit Application

Complete the Online Application, including submission of the non-refundable $85 application fee. The fee is discounted to $50.00 until January 17, 2018.

Step 2: Submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate or U.S. passport

A copy of your child’s birth certificate or U.S. passport may be uploaded through the checklist in the application parent portal.

Step 3: Interview with a member of the Admissions Staff

Once your online application is submitted, you may schedule your parent interview through the checklist in the application parent portal. Please schedule your interview soon to ensure a time that works for your family.

Step 4: Schedule a Playdate

You may sign up for one of the designated Playdates through the applicant checklist in the application parent portal. Playdates are offered in January and February. This is our opportunity to observe your child in a classroom setting.

Step 5: Request a Teacher Reference Report

Download the Teacher Reference Report for your child’s current teacher to complete. You may also send the form to the teacher electronically through the checklist in the application parent portal. Forms must be submitted directly to The St. Andrew’s Schools from the teacher.

Step 6: Request Progress Reports

Download the Records Release Authorization and give it to your child’s current preschool to request an official copy of your son or daughter’s progress report. School records must be submitted directly to us from the current school.

Applications may also be submitted through The Enrollment Management Association using the Standard Application Online.

Applying to Grades 1-5

Step 4: Schedule a morning for your child to visit the school

In lieu of standardized testing, we invite your son or daughter to spend the morning at The Prep or The Priory, where we can observe him/her in a classroom setting.

Step 5: Request a Teacher Reference Report

Download the Teacher Reference Report for your child’s current teacher to complete. You may also send the form to the teacher electronically through the checklist in the application parent portal. Forms must be submitted directly to The St. Andrew’s Schools from the teacher

Step 6: Request Records

Download the Records Release Authorization form and give it to your child’s current school to request an official copy of your son or daughter’s current year's progress report, last year's final report card, and any standardized test scores. School records must be submitted directly to us from the current school.

Applications may also be submitted through The Enrollment Management Association using the Standard Application Online.

Step 4: Submit SSAT scores

Register to take the SSAT. The test can be taken at any SSAT test site and results should be submitted directly from SSAT to St. Andrew’s Priory using the school code of 6274.

Step 5: Complete the Character Skills Snapshot

You must register for the SSAT before signing up to take the Snapshot. Create an account on SSAT.org. From your parent login, click on “My Tests” and “The Character Skills Snapshot” and follow the onscreen instructions to unlock The Snapshot for your child.

Step 6: Request Teacher Reference Reports

Download two Teacher Reference Reports and submit to your daughter’s current English and Math teachers or send the forms electronically through the applicant checklist in the application parent portal. Both forms must be submitted to The Priory directly from the reference.

Step 7: Request Administrative Reference Report

Download the Administrative Reference Report and submit to your daughter’s current Dean, Principal, Advisor, or other administrator or send the form electronically through the applicant checklist in the application parent portal. The form must be submitted to The Priory directly from the reference.

Step 8: Request Records

Download the Records Release Authorization form and give it to your daughter’s current school to request an official copy of her current year’s progress report, last year’s final report card, and any standardized test scores. School records must be submitted directly to us from her current school.

Candidates may also apply through The Enrollment Management Association using the Standard Application Online.



International Student Applicants

We are still accepting applications on a rolling basis for the 2017-18 school year, dependent upon space availability. The 2018-19 application will be available on September 1, 2017.

Thank you for your interest in The St. Andrew’s Schools. Below are the necessary steps for completion in order to be considered for admission. If you have any questions, please email internationaladmissions@standrewsschools.org.

Step 1: Submit Application
Complete the Online Application, including submission of the non-refundable $125 application fee.

Step 2: Submit Passport
Submit a color copy of the applicant’s valid passport.

Step 3: Request Transcripts
Download the Records Release Authorization form to request an official copy of your daughter’s transcript and any standardized testing results, both with certified English translation, from her current school. Admission into grade 11 also requires an official transcript from grade 9. These documents should be submitted to The Priory directly from her current school.

Step 4: Request Teacher Reference Reports

Entering grades K to 5: Download one Teacher Reference Report and submit it to your daughter’s current teacher or send the forms electronically through the applicant checklist in the application parent portal. The form should have a certified English translation. Forms must be submitted to The Priory directly from the reference.

Entering grades 6 to 11: Download two Teacher Reference Reports and submit to your daughter’s current English and math teachers or send the forms electronically through the applicant checklist in the application parent portal. The forms should have a certified English translation. Both forms must be submitted to The Priory directly from the reference.

Step 5: Submit Test Results
The results of the TOEFL exam; the school code is 2559.

Scores from the SSAT; the school code is 6274.

Step 6: Interview with a member of the Admissions Staff
An in-person, Skype or FaceTime interview with the applicant.

Step 7: SEVIS Form I-20
If an F-1 Student Visa is needed for the student to attend The Priory, these documents are required so that the school can issue a SEVIS Form I-20.

Upon acceptance to the school, the family must submit:

  • A signed Enrollment Contract (online) and Enrollment Deposit (payable online)
  • A color copy of the photo/signature page of the parents’ valid passports
  • Documentary evidence of means of financial support
  • Proof of a responsible host family and legal guardian or that the student is living with her parents
  • Immunization record

After the school receives all of the above items, the school will send a Form I-20 to you. When you receive the Form I-20, please have both parents and the student sign the form.

Step 8: F-1 Student Visa
Contact the local U.S. Consulate or Embassy and schedule an appointment for an F-1 Student Visa interview. Ask for a list of all documents you need to take to your interview.

Pay the SEVIS Application Fee. After submitting payment, you will receive an I-901 form, which is proof of payment. You must show the I-901 during your interview. http://www.ice.gov/sevis/i901
