New and returning faculty members arrived on campus this week in anticipation of the start of the 2017–18 school year. The enthusiastic group welcomed more than 15 new members and participated in Opening Professional Days, a week-long program that included guided discussions on educational philosophy, campus master planning, and excellence in teaching and learning. Faculty training during the Opening Professional Days program ranged from the practical "Nuts & Bolts" and "Tech" sessions to the hands-on and collaborative "RULER: Foundations of Emotional Intelligence for Educators" session.
St. Andrew's Schools Summer Adventure has hit a record-breaking enrollment of 350 students! The four-week program, which runs July 17, 2017 through August 10, 2017, includes three separate camps for grades K-8.

We welcomed more than 100 new members of the St. Andrew's Schools 'Ohana on Saturday, July 22. The one-day orientation featured engaging presentations from our Head of School, Dr. Ruth Fletcher, our School Principals, and many others.
St. Andrew's Schools raised more than $800,000 at the 2017 Queen Emma Ball – 150th Anniversary Celebration held on Friday, May 26, 2017 – the largest amount ever raised at the Queen Emma Ball in the school's history!
Jordan J. (Class of 2018) qualified and participated in the ILH Track and Field Championships held at Kamehameha School on Friday, April 29th where she ran to a 2nd place finish in the 1500m race and a 1st place finish in the 3000m race.

Hawaiʻi's only all-girl orchestra received the highest score in the Anaheim Heritage Music Festival at Fullerton competition, winning the Outstanding Orchestra Award.
Our school champion, seventh grader, Jemma Stollberg was invited to participate in the the 29th Hawai'i National Geographic Bee, that took place on Friday, March 31st.
