Marc Brackett, Ph.D., Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence
Thursday, December 7 - Davies Hall, Cathedral of St. Andrew - 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Emotions Matter. They inform our thinking and decisions, the quality of our relationships, our physical and mental health, and everyday performance. The skills of emotional intelligence, including the ability to recognize, label, and regulate emotions, are especially important for both healthy development and parent-child relations.
Please join us to hear Dr. Marc Brackett discuss his research on emotional intelligence and “RULER,” his Center’s approach to teaching emotional intelligence which has been adopted by St. Andrew's Schools. In the presentation, family members will learn: the science of emotions, the skills of emotional intelligence, practical strategies and tools to develop their emotional intelligence, and how to partner with their child's school to enhance emotional well-being.
This event is currently at capacity and no longer accepting RSVPs.
