Home for the Holidays Success

Mahalo to all the supporters for St. Andrew's Schools 7th annual Home for the Holidays event! Thank you to our hosts, David & Henrietta Whitcomb '59, who have allowed us use of their beautiful residence for the second year in a row, and to all the Angel sponsors, volunteers and friends of the school who made it a very special evening to kick start the holidays!

The school benefit attracted over 140 guests and school supporters, who came together for a fun evening of dining and shopping at "Made in Hawaii" pop-up boutiques and the always popular handcrafted Festival of Trees.

Head of School Dr. Ruth Fletcher, Board Chair Patty Foley and Priory students greeted guests warmly with holiday caroling and music. Priory and Prep dads were fantastic hosts in passing delicious food and wine to guests.

"Your generosity supports new initiatives necessary to respond innovatively to the changing needs of St. Andrew's Schools," said Dr. Fletcher. "These contributions make a positive impact on our students' lives. They not only support professional development for our teachers and curriculum development for our students, but they also illustrate your connection to the school and allow us to compete in an increasingly competitive educational marketplace."

This year St. Andrew's Schools is celebrating its 150th anniversary. Honoring our founder, Queen Emma Kaleleonālani, and grounded firmly in our Hawaiian heritage and Episcopalian spiritual values, St. Andrew's fosters broad-minded awareness in every arena with a personalized curriculum that encourages children to discover their most expansive and courageous selves. At St. Andrew's, every child is known, challenged, understood, and empowered to strive for the highest.
