Over Spring Break, The Priory Chamber Springs, under the direction of Chad Uyehara, traveled to California where they participated in a national competition.  They won 3 awards at the Anaheim Heritage Music Festival at Fullerton College in Anaheim.  Hawaiʻi’s only all-girl orchestra received the highest score in the competition, winning the Outstanding Orchestra Award.  They also won first place in the String Orchestra category and the Adjudicator’s Award for scoring 92 out of 100 points.  The ensemble beat out 22 other orchestras from around the nation and was the only group from Hawaiʻi.  Listen to the award winning performance here.
