Paws of Aloha: Lower School Student Councils Coordinate Community Service Project
Elizabeth McDonnell

On Saturday, February 19, student council officers from The Prep and The Priory Lower School delivered pet supplies that were collected during our recent "Paws for Aloha" drive for the Hawaiian Humane Society’s Pet Food Bank, which provides temporary assistance to pet owners struggling to feed their animals. The program relies solely on generous donations from the community, pet stores, and the Hawaiʻi Food Bank.

After the students presented the donations they had collected, Pet Food Bank guide Anne Mukai gave them a private tour of the facilities.

We are very proud of our student officers for their hard work on this community service project, and for being wonderful representatives of St. Andrew's Schools. Mahalo to all the students and families who generously donated pet supplies to the Hawaiian Humane Society in support of on-site shelter pets and foster care pet parents.
