QEP Bi-Monthly Blog: January 14
Susan Okoga, QEP Director
We hope you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas and celebrated the coming of the New Year with good food and good fun -- and that you were able to create many memories with your family.

The children were very excited to return to school and their non-stop talking and laughing expressed the joy they shared while working and playing with their teachers and friends. The children were immersed in play and the day flew by so quickly. There were children who even cried at the end of the day because they were not ready to go home.

As we celebrate the new year, we continue to practice the highest level of safety, care, and cleanliness. We ask for your continued support in keeping Queen Emma Preschool a safe place for children, families and staff.  Please continue to . . .

  1. Be on alert for signs of illness in your children or other family members and keep your children at home when someone is sick.
  2. Take your child’s temperature before leaving home. Children who have a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher will not be admitted to school.
  3. Wash your hands often with soap and water.  If not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  4. Cover your mouth and nose with a mask when you have to go out in public.
  5. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
  6. Maintain a 6 foot distance from others.
  7. Be safe and stay safe!

Reminders
  1. Our hours of operation are from 7:00 to 4:00 pm.
  2. Although drop off is until 9:00 am, please know that your child is missing a good part of the day if they arrive after 9:00. Snack and morning meetings are usually done before 9:00 in most of the classes.
  3. Be sure to allow enough time to arrive by 4:00 pm for pick up.
  4. If pick up can be arranged by 3:30, this greatly supports the families who come from work and pick up closer to 4:00 pm.
  5. For pick up - stay in your car.  You will sign out and the teachers will walk your child to you.  You can then help your child into their car seat.
  6. Working together keeps everyone safe!
We are all excited to be back in school to celebrate the beginning of 2021 with good cheer, good health, and creating many happy memories together!!!
